This portable meter is perfect
for quick checks of surface
resistance for ESD control
applications in electronics
manufacturing or handling
environments. Simply press and

Unit features an automatic test
and red (not grounded) LEDs notifying operator of continuous
personal and mat grounding status.
The 4-mm parking snap allows time for the operator to disconnect
the coil cord from the wrist band and park it on this snap. While
parked, the coil cord disables the alarm, allowing the operator to
leave the workstation. Upon returning and removing the coil cord
from the parking snap, the operator has six seconds to hook up to
the wrist band before the alarm sounds.
What’s included: two 6-ft (1.8-m) mat monitor cords, two push-
and-clinch snaps, mounting hardware and brackets, one set of
voltage selector allowing the test
voltage to switch from 10 V to
100 V if the measured resistance
exceeds 1 x 10E5 ohms. Two banana
jacks and an electrode toggle switch
allow for the connection of two
optional external 5-lb electrodes that
measure surface resistance point to
point, or resistance to equipment ground.
